Discover the vineyards of Alsace

Alsace is a wine-growing region renowned for its quality wines. The vineyards of Alsace offer a wide variety of grape varieties, many different terroirs, picturesque landscapes and a rich history.

Alsace grape varieties and terroirs

Alsace has 7 unique and varied grape varieties, the most famous of which are Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Each grape variety has its own distinct characteristics, giving each wine its own particular flavour.

Alsace’s terroirs are also numerous and varied, the result of intense geological activity over hundreds of millions of years that has created a veritable mosaic of soils unrivalled anywhere in the world: sandstone, limestone, granite, schist, volcanic soil, loess, clay and alluvium are just some of the rocks that give structure and varied minerality to Alsace wines.

At Domaine GUETH, independent winemaker Muriel is proud to produce top-quality organic Alsace wines. You’ll find the 7 Alsatian grape varieties grown on 2 of Alsace’s terroirs: marl-sandstone and marl-limestone.

Excellent welcome with a small wine tasting. Due to a mix-up with our last-minute booking, the owners kindly agreed to move our request forward by a day. Very nice room with modern furnishings. Good advice for dinner on Sunday evening; we chose a small inn in the forest which we highly recommend. Hearty breakfast with local products. I highly recommend this lovely place.

A very warm welcome. A fantastic winery; you can feel the passion for natural and organic wines. Impeccable service. A very spacious room with a view of the vineyards and the terrace. The tour, the tasting, and the charcuterie and cheese platter ordered in advance were exceptional. Breakfast was fantastic. Attentive hosts, always ready to help. A big thank you!

We participated in a wine tasting and had a wonderful time. We particularly appreciated the warm welcome from the owners and the estate's commitment to organic farming. The tour was very informative, and we thoroughly enjoyed the wines we tasted, so much so that we bought several bottles to share with our friends and family. A truly great experience that we highly recommend!
