Discover the vineyards of Alsace

Alsace is a wine-growing region renowned for its quality wines. The vineyards of Alsace offer a wide variety of grape varieties, many different terroirs, picturesque landscapes and a rich history.

Alsace grape varieties and terroirs

Alsace has 7 unique and varied grape varieties, the most famous of which are Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Each grape variety has its own distinct characteristics, giving each wine its own particular flavour.

Alsace’s terroirs are also numerous and varied, the result of intense geological activity over hundreds of millions of years that has created a veritable mosaic of soils unrivalled anywhere in the world: sandstone, limestone, granite, schist, volcanic soil, loess, clay and alluvium are just some of the rocks that give structure and varied minerality to Alsace wines.

At Domaine GUETH, independent winemaker Muriel is proud to produce top-quality organic Alsace wines. You’ll find the 7 Alsatian grape varieties grown on 2 of Alsace’s terroirs: marl-sandstone and marl-limestone.

If you're looking for wines that exude terroir, respect nature, are balanced, deep, and elegant, then don't hesitate to discover Muriel Gueth's wines.
Special mention goes to the Riesling and Pinot Noir.
For lovers of Riesling with "petrol" notes, try the 2017; it's a gem.
As for the "Terre natale" Pinot Noir, produced from limestone soils, it's one of the best in the region that I've had the opportunity to discover: full of depth, complexity, and length. It's tasting very good now, and will likely only improve in the months and years to come.
Finally, the estate produces delicious grape juice.
We look forward to visiting you again 👍🏻😉
