Vines :<\/strong> on two 70-year-old plots, on the edge of the small stream “Fallbach” meaning “Autumn humidity”. This environment favors the development of botrytis mold, characteristic of this late harvest gewurztraminer.<\/p>\n

Terroir :<\/strong> marl limestone. Composed of clay deposits associated with oolitic limestone pebbles of marine origin. Immediate neighbor of the “Goldert”<\/strong> Grand Cru<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the cellar :<\/strong> over-ripened harvest, in November, before frost and in 40 kg boxes; slow and gentle pressing; fermentation without adding yeasts; very moderate sulphiting; maturing 6 months on lees in stainless steel vats; bottling at the estate.<\/p>\n

Golden yellow wine.<\/p>\n

Nose :<\/strong> complex and dense which develops aromas of honey and exotic fruits.<\/p>\n

Palate <\/strong>: with the typical personality of the marl-limestone terroir, combined with botrytis, the palate is generous and balanced. The palate reveals notes of truffle, lychee, strawberry and ripe cherry. The finish is smooth with a beautiful harmony between sugar and acidity.<\/p>\n

Muriel’s advice :<\/strong> at the end of a meal or as an aperitif, just to give in to the temptation of gluttony.
