Vines :<\/strong> on one 74-year-old plots, on the edge of the small stream “Fallbach” meaning “Autumn humidity”. This environment favors the development of botrytis mold, characteristic of this late harvest gewurztraminer.<\/p>\n

Terroir :<\/strong> marl and limestone<\/a>. Composed of clay deposits associated with oolitic limestone pebbles of marine origin. Immediate neighbor of the “Goldert”<\/strong> Grand Cru<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the cellar :<\/strong> over-ripened harvest, in November, before frost and in 40 kg boxes; slow and gentle pressing; fermentation without adding yeasts; very moderate sulphiting; maturing 6 months on lees in stainless steel vats; bottling at the estate. We store this Gewurztraminer Confidentiel at least 12 months in the cellar to offer it to you at its best potential.<\/p>\n

Palate <\/strong>: very generous in sugar and freshness. The palate is rich in notes of honey and acidulous fruits. The finish is persistent, smooth and lemony!<\/p>\n

Muriel’s advice :<\/strong> this exceptional wine can be enjoyed unaccompanied as a tangy treat, as an aperitif or with dessert and an exotic fruit salad. It will be perfect with a raspberry or passion fruit dessert, but also with a lemon or rhubarb
