Vines :<\/strong> 40 years old, plot of land known as “Rouffacherweg”<\/em><\/strong>, meaning “Rouffach Road”, situated mid-slope to the south of the village.<\/p>\n

Terroir\u00a0:<\/strong> marl and sandstone<\/a>. Scree and rocks of pink Vosges sandstone, covered with a beautiful deep soil rich in clay.<\/p>\n

In the cellar :<\/strong> de-stemmed pinot noir grapes then gently macerated for 10 days; after devatting, the wine is placed in stainless steel vats and malolactic fermentation takes over; after fermentation, very moderate sulphiting; aged for 6 months on the lees in stainless steel vats; bottled at the estate. We put our wines in reserve to offer them at their best potential.<\/p>\n

A charming, silky and light Pinot Noir<\/h5>\n

A dry, fruity red Pinot Noir from Alsace. True to the fruity Alsatian style, but in a red version! Intense, deep colour with purple highlights.<\/p>\n

Nose:<\/strong> fruity bouquet with a dominance of cherry-like black fruits.<\/p>\n

Palate:<\/strong> intense and fragrant, ample with supple tannins. Persistent finish.<\/p>\n

Muriel’s advice:<\/strong> this red Pinot Noir d’Alsace can be drunk straight away but will reach its peak in 3 to 5 years. To taste with red meats, beef in sauce or roast, veal, goose rillettes, fish matelote<\/a>, pot au feu, p\u00e2t\u00e9 en croute, potato gratin, tournedos, Brie, Mont-d’or,
